Engaging & Supporting At-Risk Youth in Marginalized Communities
Amal Foundation Canada is committed to supporting the health and welfare needs of marginalized youth, refugees, and new immigrants. As part of this commitment, the organization has developed a Youth Outreach program to engage with and support at-risk youth in marginalized communities across Canada. Through a range of initiatives, Amal Foundation Canada aims to provide young people with the resources, guidance, and opportunities they need to overcome barriers and build brighter futures.
Understanding the Needs of Marginalized Youth
Marginalized youth face a range of challenges that can impact their physical, mental, and social well-being. These challenges include poverty, limited access to education, healthcare, and employment opportunities, discrimination, and social isolation. As a result, many young people may struggle with mental health issues, substance abuse, risk-taking behaviors, and other health problems. Engaging and supporting these young people is crucial to improving their health outcomes and enabling them to reach their full potential
The Youth Outreach program of Amal Foundation Canada is designed to address these challenges by providing young people with the resources and support they need to succeed. The program focuses on community engagement, youth development, and youth empowerment through a range of initiatives that include mentoring, recreational activities, and leadership development.

Mentoring Programs
Mentoring programs are a key component of Amal Foundation Canada’s Youth Outreach program. The organization works with local schools, community centers, and other organizations to connect young people with adult mentors who can provide guidance and support. Mentoring relationships can help young people develop positive self-image, build confidence, and gain important life skills. Mentors can also provide valuable support in academic and career planning, helping young people set goals and develop strategies to achieve them.
Recreational Activities
Recreational activities are another important component of Amal Foundation Canada’s Youth Outreach program. The organization offers a range of activities designed to engage young people in positive social and physical experiences. These activities can include sports leagues, arts and crafts programs, and outdoor adventure programs. Through these activities, young people can build social connections, develop leadership skills, and explore their interests and talents.
Leadership Development
Leadership development is a key focus of Amal Foundation Canada’s Youth Outreach program. The organization offers a range of programs and opportunities designed to help young people develop leadership skills and become positive role models in their communities. These programs can include leadership workshops, community service projects, and internships. By providing young people with opportunities to take on leadership roles and make positive contributions to their communities, Amal Foundation Canada is helping to build a new generation of engaged and empowered leaders.
Community Engagement
Community engagement is an essential aspect of Amal Foundation Canada’s Youth Outreach program. The organization works closely with local communities to identify the needs and challenges facing youth in the area. By engaging with community members, We can develop programs and initiatives that are tailored to the unique needs and interests of the young people they serve. This engagement can also help build trust and relationships with youth and their families, ensuring that they feel supported and connected to their communities.
